Spring work season is over this week so I’ll be back to the drawing board so our weekly installments of Kalthar should post more regularly and I’m sure you’re thrilled about that.  I’m also jumping into full drawing mode!  Issue 6 is the priority but I’m going to warm  up with some pencil work on Meet the Purple Hairy Man and then get working on 6 in earnest starting in September.  That’ll give me 6 months before next springs work season, hopefully enough to finish the issue in time for Kalthar to finish up.  I’m hoping I’ll be able to start rendering the drawings with ink and color by November.  I love the exercise I get from my work gig, but its too exhausting to make art work as effectively.  So, I’ve saved up some money so I can work on the comic full time for the fall and winter.  I might do a little driving for Amazon if funds dip below where I want them.  This sort of operation necessitates some frugality, namely cutting out my COVID era alcohol consumption.  Before the quarantine I had just about cut out my daily beer drinking, but, of course, conditions on the ground changed.  Luckily they just legalized weed in these parts…

I find Pious’ struggles with human anatomy very relatable!  Panel 3 is a bit wonky, if I many say.  In my touch up process I’ve been sure to fix up the red ink that overpowers the elephants.  Pious was probably going for a blended purple color here, but I don’t think it worked.
