The Enchanted Dagger

This page is the first of another two page spread.  The idea was to introduce the 3 ring circus attractions and crowd.   I recognized that this sort of composition doesn’t work all that well for a webcomic as we don’t see the full two page layout, but I wanted a big impactful page.  I might have opted for a single page splash page which would have made for a larger vertical view, allowing for more depictions of the aerial acts.  I haven’t used any splash pages as of yet, so i was disinclined to go that root.  I’m not particularly thrilled with how the pages turned out, but they get the point across.   I did come up with a better design idea which i was going to use for the back cover of the issue…
